SUPPORTING A LOCAL HOSPICE GARDEN PROJECT AT ROTHERHAM NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

Hired Machinery Supports Hospice Garden Project at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust

Filtermech Plant Sales are delighted to supply specialist machinery to support a remarkable community project at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, helping bring an award-winning Chelsea Flower Show Garden to life in South Yorkshire, 160-mile journey up north from London to Rotherham.

To assist with the landscaping and construction works, our hired machinery was brought on site to help prepare the ground, move materials efficiently, and support the landscaping team throughout the build process. With tight timescales and a detailed design to deliver, reliable equipment played an important role in ensuring the project progressed smoothly and safely.

The project involves the recreation of a celebrated garden originally showcased at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, designed to provide a peaceful and therapeutic outdoor space for hospice patients, families, and staff. The garden is being installed at the Trust's hospice facilities as part of a charitable initiative supporting Asthma + Lung UK.

The recreated garden has been designed to offer a calming environment where visitors can enjoy nature, reflection, and relaxation. Inspired by its successful debut at the Chelsea Flower Show, the garden combines carefully selected planting, accessible pathways, and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote wellbeing and connection with the outdoors.

We are proud to have contributed to a project that will have a lasting positive impact on hospice patients and their loved ones. Supporting local communities and charitable causes is something we value highly, and it is rewarding to see our equipment helping bring such meaningful projects to fruition.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the project, including the landscaping teams, volunteers, Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust staff, and Asthma + Lung UK, for their dedication and hard work.

We look forward to seeing the completed garden become a valued space for patients, families, and healthcare professionals for many years to come.
